How much does a SaaS recruitment agency charge?

By Rupert Deering, Co-Founder

Timberseed charges 20 to 25% of first-year base salary on a contingent or retained basis. For high-volume SDR hiring, we can discuss volume pricing.

Contingent or retained: what decides it

A contingent fee is payable on placement: we run the search and you pay if and when you hire someone we put forward. A retained arrangement involves commitment upfront in exchange for a more exclusive, prioritised process. Which basis applies depends on the role and the brief, and we agree this with you before any search starts, not after.

Why the fee is a range rather than a fixed number

20 to 25% is the range, not a single rate. Where a search lands within it depends on the specifics of the brief. We confirm the exact figure for your role before any work begins, so there is no ambiguity about what a successful placement costs.

Volume pricing for SDR hiring

Companies hiring multiple SDRs or BDRs in one go, rather than a single seat, can discuss volume pricing rather than paying the standard per-hire rate on each one individually. This applies specifically to high-volume SDR searches; see our SDR & BDR recruitment page for what we screen for at that level.
